First troubleshooting steps:
1. Restart your computer. Do they play?
2. Do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.
3. Upload one of the problem videos to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar free service and post the sharing link here (or send it to me in a private message) and we can see if they play in other LR configurations.

That video imports and plays in my LR 14.2 / Mac OS 15.2 / Apple M2 Max.
Metal: AMD Radeon Pro Vega 64
Try setting Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off -- does that fix the issue?
That graphics processor is eight years old. AMD stopped updating its drivers two years ago (and you're on a two-year-old version of Mac OS), so it's possible LR is tripping over bugs in the graphics driver that will never get fixed.

I have no problem importing and playing the "MOV " file. This one was 1/10 sec in length. Are you sure this is not playing? It is very fast and you need to be quick to see the action.
My specs are similar to John's (LR 14.2 / Mac OS 15.2 ) If you can install v14.2, why are you still running MacOS v13? I would begin with an upto date OS. This will update any GPU drivers as well
